LGBTQI children speak out

A recent social media post regarding a boy wearing a dress to a Cape Town school has once again shone the spotlight on the rights of the LGBTQIA community.
Several comments on the post vilified the pupil’s choice.
The Western Cape Education Department says it will be releasing its final policy document by the end of this year on gender identity and s.e.xual orientation in public schools.
The department says it’s in support of the rights of all pupils regardless of s.e.xual orientation.
