Thabo Bester’s lawyers face legal woes
The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed that convicted Facebook r@pist and murderer Thabo Bester’s lawyers are facing their own legal woes.
One of Bester’s lawyers is facing attempted rape and assault charges.
He is expected to be in the dock on 21 June, which is the day after Bester is due to make another appearance, in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court.
At the same time, Bester’s second lawyer is facing fraud and corruption charges.
His case is expected to go on trial from 26-30 June.
The legal practice council says the lawyers are within their rights to practice until they are found guilty.
The publication understands the pair are also trying to crowdfund for Bester’s legal fees.
