Government not joining mandatory vaccination legal battle

The debate around rights of individuals versus the public good is going to be in the spotlight as discussions continue around mandatory vaccinations according to Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi.

He said a risk assessment approach at workplaces will be applied.

Nxesi says the government will not join an application by big business to get the Constitutional Court involved in vaccine mandates.

Nedlac says it will seek a declaratory order asking the court to decide on mandatory vaccination policies.
