Lavender Hill residents plead for assistance following fire

Lavender Hill informal settlement residents are pleading for help from various sectors after they lost all their possessions in a fire.
On Christmas Eve, a blaze ripped through most of the shacks and razed them to the ground.
Hundreds of people have been left homeless and destitute.
