Lasizwe responds to haters after E! dressing criticism

Lasizwe took note of every single comment that was made about his outfit to the E! Africa 15th anniversary party on Thursday night, which resulted in him topping the trends list. But we wish it could’ve been for another YouTube video instead.

But the reality star and YouTuber stated to the press that he couldn’t give two ‘s**ts’ about the criticism because he’s on a bigger mission.

Social media was out for blood when they dragged some of your favourites including Minnie Dlamini and Bonang Matheba.

Lasizwe

“This season I am going hard! I want all my looks to change the idea of body comfortability and to evoke reactions. With yesterday’s outfit, I got the perfect reaction I was looking for… I deliberately made myself the sacrificial lamb in order to prove a point”, he told TshisaLive.

Many males have done something similar for example Riky Rick in a video dancing in his underwear and robe. Everyone had mixed reactions to that video but because he was straight he could get away with it and perform in his underwear. With me on the other hand, that picture provoked homophobia, bullying and body shaming maybe because of my age or my sexuality. We live in the 21st Century where we have the right to express ourselves freely.

While Bonang got dragged for having a ‘been there, seen that” silhouette and Minnie’s pink panther-cum-Madonna-cum-Marilyn Monroe was…interesting, tweeps felt the need to let these Mzansi celebs know that it was time to step up their game.

“I want to become a style icon and that requires some bold moves”, he said.

Well, whichever way you style it, Lasizwe is definitely making heads turn and we’re here for all of it.
