#TheRiver actress Larona Moagi in big trouble with Twitter over her Acting skills

One person who we wouldn’t want to be right now is The River actress, Larona Moagi. While others are busy praising her co-star on the show, Sindi Dlathu for the performance of a lifetime, others are coming after the actress and influencer for her acting skills.
Okay, let’s be fair, it’s not everybody who is gunning for Larona but there is a fair number of critics that has made a point of letting the public know what they think of her portrayal of The River’s Tumi. Some believe that the influencer is in over her head starring on one of the country’s biggest shows and they voiced their opinions this week by saying:
I’m wondering if she’s not someones relative because they’re really trying to put her on as the starring. That “introducing larona moagi” in the adverts is very bathong 😏

Season 3 of #TheRiver1Magic is going to be very, very long if the Character of Tumi is going to be at the center of the storyline…to add insult to injury how does @Mzansimagic explain nominating Larona Moagi for rising star of the year with such poor acting?

Guys.. Larona Moagi needs to invest in some serious acting lessons..she has no depth 🙄🙄🤬..it’s beyond irritating. Dimpho would have played the Tumi role way better. #TheRiver1Magic

The conversation has been rumbling on for some time now but it seems as if some of her recent scenes managed to get her fans to stand up and support her from the bullying. A number of honest viewers felt as if Larona was being unfairly targeted:
Larona Moagi bagged the role of Tumi because the casting team and directors liked what they saw when she auditioned. Complaining about her acting everyday won’t get her fired or take a cent from her salary 🙄 it’s childish. #TheRiver1Magic https://t.co/WUaeto4Vpv

You guys are lying Larona Moagi really isn’t that bad, considering the fact that she didn’t study drama whatsoever. If Phatu and Co didn’t want her for the role they wouldn’t have chosen her so clearly homegirl is doing something right. She’ll learn as time goes on

This wouldn’t be the first time that Larona is roped into controversy for her role as Tumi of The River. Last year she was embroiled in a dramatic showdown with veteran actress Moshidi Moshegwa who claimed that the influencer needed to work on her acting technique.
The heated confrontation made tabloid news after Moshidi was fired from the show for constantly coming after her much-younger co-star. Larona has made no secret of the fact that The River is her first big role.
What do you think of the latest saga involving Larona Moagi and her acting skills, are people being unfair?
