Police arrest film crew member in Krugersdorp gang rape case

Gauteng Police commissioner General Elias Mawela has confirmed that a member of a film crew that was attacked in Krugersdorp while shooting a music video has been arrested.

Police say alleged robbed items were found in her possession.

Eight women were gang raped in July while filming a music video at a disused mine on Johannesburg’s West Rand.

Meanwhile, Gauteng’s crime-busting operation, Okae Molao is in Langlaagte, Johannesburg.

It’s believed illegal miners who were previously operating in the West Rand have moved there.

Okae Molao will also focus on gang-related crimes and drug dealing.
