Koeberg Unit 1 successfully synchronised to the grid

The country’s blackout problem may be alleviated as Unit 1 at Eskom’s Koeberg Power Station has been brought back online.

This is one of Africa’s largest generating units.

It had been operating for nearly 40 years before its recent almost year-long downtime.
