KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has promised King MisuZulu that he will curb the high crime levels in the province.
KZN is no stranger to deadly shootings, hijackings, and robberies – issues the Zulu monarch has expressed dissatisfaction about.
This week seven family members including a five-year-old child were shot and killed at their family home in the highflats.
Speaking at the 40th anniversary of the reed dance ceremony on Saturday, Premier Ntuli said the provincial government and police would crack down on crime.
“As your government Your Majesty working with the Provincial Commissioner Mkhwanazi, we are committing ourselves to dealing with criminals in this province. We won’t allow criminals to do as they please in this great land.”
