King Goodwill Zwelithini’s remains arrive home

King Goodwill Zwelithini‘s remains have arrived in KwaNongoma. The late AmaZulu monarch will not lie in state. Instead, his remains will be kept in a local mortuary.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has accorded him a special official funeral, category 1. The funeral date has yet to be announced. King Zwelithini passed away on Friday morning after a long battle with diabetes.

The King was 72-years old and was Africa’s longest-reigning monarch. Tributes have been pouring in from all over the world.
