The 30-year-old has seen herself garner a successful career in the entertainment industry, bagging many gigs and even landing herself her first True Love Magazine cover for the month of December.

We all know how challenging it can be to be a single parent or to be raised by one, however some single parents turn out to be the best thing that could happen to a child.

However, all of this success didn’t come easy for Khanya and her mother who had to sacrifice a lot to ensure that her daughter’s dream of working in the entertainment industry came to fruition.

In a recent thread, Khanya opened up about how much of an amazing superwoman her mother is and how supportive she’s been ever since Khanya embarked on this journey of working in the entertainment industry.

“Mother’s are truly God’s greatest gift..” is how she started her Twitter thread.

She then continued to share that her mother had decided that they move to Johannesburg as she wanted a better life for her daughter, despite working on a nurses salary and the high cost of living in Johannesburg.

“Did I mention how she raised me alone, on a nurse’s salary and how she one day decided we were moving to Johannesburg because she wanted a better life for us? She still remains my number 1 fan. Hearing her tell me she’s proud of me truly warms my heart. I am so thankful for her.”
