VIDEO: I have been quiet for too long – Kelly Khumalo speaks her mind on Senzo Meyiwa’s death

Singer and actress Kelly Khumalo has released a video in which she speaks her mind on Senzo Meyiwa’s death and alleges that the law is failing women in South Africa. Kelly who seems to be very emotional and perhaps a bit inebriated is drinking Controversy Gin in the video and speaks with a thick Russian accent.

Kelly says that it is tough being a woman in South Africa and claims that she is a victim of the system. She accuses the police of not doing their job regarding the murder of her lover and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa. She says the matter of Senzo’s murder needs to be put to rest and laments that the matter is still unresolved six years later. Senzo was shot and killed in a robbery on 26 October 2014.

Kelly says the system and the laws are very questionable and are failing women in a very major way in South Africa. She says people in charge need to do their job and have the crime solved. The actress argues that she is one who is suffering emotionally and professionally until the matter is resolved because the public needs to hold someone accountable.

Speaking in the video, Kelly says:

“I have become a victim of this matter for many years. Someone in charge is not doing anything.

…It’s easy for them to shut up because they don’t have to live a day in my shoes. I have country that hates me. I have country that swears at me on every day.

I have to dealing (sic) with this. Do I deserving this? No I don’t. Again, as a woman, the law in this country, she failing me. The system in this country, she failing me. When is Daila Spolicia going to do their jobs. When is someone in charge going to do their job,

Really, this is very exhausting.”
