Police have shot and killed a man wanted for a string of crimes in Johannesburg.
The man had been on the run and began firing at the police when found in Katlehong on Saturday.
A shoot-out ensued and officers fatally wounded him.
SAPS spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said the 41-year-old man was wanted for murder, attempted murder, arson, and assault.
Masondo stated that no police officers were harmed in the exchange of fire.
