Kaizer Chiefs 2 – 1 Orlando Pirates

Keagan Dolly stole the headlines in his first Soweto derby as his starring performance led Kaizer Chiefs to a 2-1 win over arch-rivals Orlando Pirates.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star bagged a brace for his new side at FNB Stadium on Saturday to earn them three valuable points as well as the bragging right over their rivals.

Dolly, who has been a breath of fresh air for the Glamour Boys since joining from French outfit Montpelier, continued his fine displays for the Soweto giants.

He has now scored five goals and provided three assists in ten games for Stuart Baxter’s side, earning himself a Bafana Bafana recall in the process.

He will be crucial for Hugo Broos’ team as they look to close out group G with wins over Zimbabwe and Ghana next week.

Dolly opened the scoring for Chiefs in the 49th minute but his strike was cancelled out by a Linda Mntambo equalizer for Bucs.

Mntambo, who looks rejuvenated this season, might have been forgiven for thinking he had earned his side a deserved draw.

However, Dolly and Amakhosi were having none of it as they roared their way back in front, stealing the win late on through a well taken penalty.
