Justice Minister Ronald Lamola grilled over cyberattack

It’s been more than two months since the Justice Department fell victim to a ransomware attack. On Tuesday, Parliamentarians grilled Justice Minister Ronald Lamola and his department on the issue. Lamola briefed them on the current state of affairs and annual performances.
Opposition parties probed the minister on issues like exactly how much data was lost in the attack and why the department didn’t have adequate measures in place to prevent the attack.
Lamola says they are prioritising the need to replace old infrastructure and improve its systems.
