Alleged 2021 July unrest instigators’ case postponed

The case involving alleged July unrest instigators has adjourned until 30 November.

More than 30 people were making their second appearance at the Durban magistrate’s court.

Two additional suspects made their first appearance.

At least two more will make their first court appearance on Friday.

A total of 46 people have so far been arrested.

Over 300 people were killed during the widespread looting and violence in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
