The second leg of the South African Human Rights Commission’s hearings into the July unrest will begin on Monday.
Over 340 people were killed in the violence and looting that erupted in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
This second leg of the hearings will focus on events as they unfolded in Gauteng and will also feature the continuation of evidence from the KwaZulu-Natal sitting.
The SAHRC panel is set to hear evidence from survivors, community members, and members of the business and security sectors.
