Julius Malema tells EFF members to not act like they know everything

EFF leader Julius Malema has urged his party members to look after each other.

He said this during his address at the Limpopo Ground Forces Forum which was held at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sports Complex in Seshego outside Polokwane, Limpopo on Saturday, 25 November.

The forum is a meeting of the elections machinery of the party, constituted by the structures that will deliver decisive victory in the province in the 2024 national and provincial elections.

Malema told his members to have each other’s backs ahead of the 2024 general elections.

“We can’t afford to hate each other in the EFF. We must love each other because fighters look after each other. You must feel safe when you see someone wearing EFF’s t-shirt because we are a family,” he said.

He told his members not to act like they know everything when they conduct their door-to-door campaigns.

“Don’t go to people’s homes if you are not convinced yourself. If you don’t have answers to what they ask you, tell them you will come back to them later with answers so that you can go and consult,” he said.

He told them not to go around pretending like they know everything as they will turn themselves into jokes.

Malema said fighters don’t get bored because the party needs a million members.

“A fighter doesn’t get bored because there’s too much work to be done. You can’t be a fighter and be bored. If you are bored, do door to doors. You can also call your leaders and ask them about where they will have a service delivery protest so you can join them,” he said.

He also encouraged them to read a book every morning.

“Read a chapter every morning when you wake up. Forget about Twitter (now known as X), WhatsApp and Facebook because the amount of time you spend on them is equivalent to a chapter of a book,” he said.

He said people who read books reason better.

“You can’t be a leader if you don’t read a book. If you can’t read a book, read a bible because people who read books reason better than Fikile Mbalula,” Malema said.
