Watch: Julius Malema’s KZN train ride
EFF leader, Julius Malema is on the campaign trail in Kwa-Zulu Natal and he got on a train ride to interact with commuters on the trail.
Malema kicked off the commuter engagement by taking a train ride from the Umlazi train station to the Berea train station.

Malema got on the train which was loud from the EFF supporters accompanying him who were singing EFF campaign songs.
Malema interacted with commuters on the train, even taking selfies with fans.

It looks like Malema was standing throughout the commute this morning.
The train was cramped, one can’t be sure if it was cramped because of the EFF members who decided to join or that’s the case every day.
The EFF, however, promised that they will increase the carriages on public transport railways by 50% and also refurbish and upgrade all the public transport lines by 2021 if they get in power.

After the trained ride, Malema did a walkabout at the Warwick Junction, interacting with taxi drivers and informal traders.
People on social media accused the EFF of being a copycat, claiming that the train ride is just Malema doing what ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa did with the now infamous train ride from the Mabopane Train Station to Bosman in Pretoria.
This is the 3-hour train ride for a 38-km journey that surprised the president.
