Judgment has been reserved in Andile Lungisa‘s bail application. The former Nelson Mandela Bay ANC councillor wants to be out of jail pending his appeal application to the Constitutional Court.
Lungisa handed himself over last week to start his two-year sentence.
This after his appeal to have his sentence shortened was dismissed.
Lungisa was found guilty for assaulting a DA councillor with a glass jug in 2016 during a scuffle in council.
