Judge Mandisa Maya appointed new Deputy Chief Justice

Justice Mandisa Maya is the new Deputy Chief Justice. President Cyril Ramaphosa made the announcement on Monday.
He says she brings more than two decades of a distinguished career as a judicial officer. Maya is the first woman to hold the positions of Deputy President and President of the Supreme Court of Appeal.
She starts her new role on 1 September.
