DA’s John Steenhuisen launches re-election campaign
Democratic Alliance leader John Steenhuisen has launched his re-election campaign in Johannesburg.
He’ll be going head-to-head with the party’s former Johannesburg mayor Mpho Phalatse.
Political analyst Sanet Madonsela says there is a chance voters may choose the DA or another party besides the ANC in the next election.
She said, “I think that there’s a strong likelihood that people may have to choose between the DA and the ANC…
“There’s a possibility EFF may also be serious contenders. Either the ANC or DA would have to work with the EFF which would put them in a strong position.”
