DA leader John Steenhuisen campaigns with controversial song John Vuli Gate – Video

The municipal elections are getting closer, which means politicians are now doing everything they can to convince people to vote for their parties.
Recently, DA leader John Steenhuisen was seen using the controversial song John Vuli Gate to get votes.
In the video, Steenhuisen can be seen shaking his bum, showing people how he would be opening opportunities and service delivery for them.
“On 1 November, I’ll be John vul’amanzi, John vul’umsebenzi. Together, we are going to open that Steve Tshwete Municipality. I’m going to vula that gate and put DA government in. I’m going to vula that gate for all of you for a better future because the DA gets things done.”

The video, which has since gone viral, has received mixed reactions from social media users.
Darich wrote: “You know it’s election time when they become nice to you.”
While Baloi said: “During elections, we can get them to do anything. Let’s ask for R100 from each person. They will give it to us.”
Sifiso Nkosi said: “He’s going to win some votes.”
Steenhuisen told Daily Sun that he had been using the song for his internal leadership campaign.
“It carried through from there, and now that’s how I am known to people on the ground. They know me as the John that will open the door to better services.
“You cannot have a thriving local economy without a steady supply of water, electricity, sanitation, access to opportunity and sound public infrastructure such as roads,” he said.
The clip was recorded at a DA campaign rally in Doornkop, Mpumalanga.
Prior to the election, the song became so controversial that Pastor Lingelihle Jadezweni from Christian Church in Gqeberha rebuked it as he felt it was demonic.
