Johan Booysen to conclude testimony at Zondo Commission #StateCaptureInquiry

Former KwaZulu-Natal Hawks boss, General Johan Booysen, is expected to conclude with his testimony at the State Capture Inquiry on Friday.

In his evidence on Thursday, Booysen implicated Colonel Navin Madhoe in wrongdoing.

Those against whom Booysen has spoken include former Police Ministers Nathi Mthethwa and Nathi Nhleko, former Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega, former NPA Acting NDPP Nomcobo Jiba and former NDPP Shaun Abrahams along with KZN DPP Moipone Noko and Advocate Sello Malema.

Booysen says then police commissioner Riah Phiyega did all she could to force him out of his office.

He says Phiyega wanted him to take special leave, or accept a transfer or a golden handshake.

The former KZN Hawks boss also said he decided to retire in 2017 when then Hawks head General Ntlemeza was preparing to suspend him.
