For years, the Johannesburg Roads Agency has been criticized for the state of the city’s roads and infrastructure.
The publication is now in possession of a forensic report, revealing irregular expenditure of more than R400-million with officials allegedly grossly overcharging for certain projects but these officials are yet to be held to account.
The JRA board has told the publication, that the City’s forensic and investigation service has been tasked with speeding up the conclusion of all audit reports.
Meanwhile, the Public Protector’s office says the matter was once before them.
