Water woes continue for Joburg residents

Johannesburg residents are pointing out the need for more effective planning after going without water for the weekend.

Despite the completion of maintenance that necessitated last week’s shutdown, water supply issues persist.

According to Rand Water, certain pipelines will require decommissioning to facilitate the resumption of water flow.

It says specific sections of the system may need to be taken out of service to address airlocks within pipes.
