Search continues for source of gas that caused Joburg explosion
It’s been four days since the underground explosion in the Johannesburg CBD.
But there’s still no word on the source or when repairs will take place.
Many businesses in the area are still shut.
Joburg technical officials have confirmed that the explosion was caused by gas.
However, they are yet to determine the source of that gas.
The city has also ruled out illegal mining and is urging residents to avoid the area.
The incident cracked open roads, claimed one life, injured over 40 people, and wrecked at least 36 vehicles.
