Joburg EMS responds to extinguish another CBD fire

There has been another fire in the Johannesburg CBD, not far from where a blaze killed over 70 people a few weeks ago. Johannesburg Emergency Services’ Xolile Khumalo confirmed that there was a fire at 1 Delvers Street, Marshalltown in an abandoned building.
There were shacks built in the ground floor of the building. We don’t have any casualties, fortunately, Joburg EMS was able to respond quickly enough so they were able to evacuate the residents that were inside the building and no injuries were reported,” Khumalo said. The fire has been extinguished, according to Khumalo.
