JMPD Officer left in a critical condition after being struck down by car

Gauteng: At 13H29 Sunday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to a pedestrian vehicle collision on the Soweto Highway near the N17 in Orlando. Johannesburg.

Reports indicate that a JMPD police official was struck down while signalling for a motorist to pull over. When medics arrived on scene, they found the officer in a serious condition who was rapidly deterioration.

The patient was treated on scene by emergency care practitioners and once stabilised was transported by Netcare 911 helicopter to hospital for further care.
