“I learnt discipline, hard work and that getting an education in something you love is very important. My theatrical training came in very handy as I’m now on TV, I learnt the importance of time and respecting my fellow colleagues,” she told UKZN in an interview.

After graduating, Jessica moved to Johannesburg to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

While living in the City of Gold one of her friends told her about an upcoming TV drama. The friend sent her portfolio to the production house working on the show.

“Going to set and being this girl seriously saves me. Being able to step out of myself and become her keeps me sane. She saves me in more way than I can count,” she in an interview.

Jessica, who was born in Empangeni on January 20 in 1990, is also a respected TV presenter.

“Motherhood is amazing. I’m still trying to find my feet; I have never lived in Johannesburg with a child. I’m trying to find my new normal. You know, when you leave a baby at home and go to work there is a sense of guilt. I’m finding my balance,” she told SowetanLIVE.
