State argues Jacob Zuma has no case against Downer

The NPA says another application by former president Jacob Zuma to have Billy Downer removed is time-wasting and has no merit.

Zuma was back in court as his arms deal trial resumed at the High Court in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.

However, he brought yet another application to have Downer removed as prosecutor in the trial.

NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga says the application will be dismissed.
