Popular Mzansi hip-hop musician J Molley has broken his silence after his viral suicide attempt last week.
Last month, the Life or Death rapper took to his X account to share distressing posts about taking his own life. At the time, the Love & Hip Hop SA cast member went live on Instagram, displaying different kinds of medications, a knife, a bottle of brandy, and several soft drinks.
In 2022, J Molley spoke candidly about his battle with mental health.
“I suffer from a borderline personality disorder, which is like bipolar but worse; it’s more of a thing. One hour you’re happy, the next hour you’re sad. One moment you love someone, the next moment you hate someone and you want to kill them. We feel things 10 times more than everyone, so everything is so extreme.”
In a lengthy letter he recently shared on social media accounts, the artist opened up.
“Dear fans and supporters, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today with a heart full of gratitude and humility to share a deeply personal revelation that has transformed my life.
“In the past, I have been battling satanic demons within me that I was not aware of,” J Molley wrote.
The rapper shared that he has since experienced a profound awakening of faith and spirituality.
“Through the grace of God, I have been saved and have started dedicating my life to serving our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,” he wrote.
J Molley further said he will, in the coming months, embark on a journey that will help him seek clarity and understanding of his purpose within God’s plan.
“Please know that I will carry each and every one of you in my heart as I seek to discern God’s will for my life. Whether I choose to stay active on social media after this post or not will be determined by a decision I will be making later today.
“If no posts are made in the near future, just know I am in safe hands getting the deliverance and help I need that can only come from my Saviour Jesus Christ and His professional, trusted servants,” he added.
