We have an exciting opportunity with a Commercial Bank in the Northern Suburbs of JHB for an Assistant Internal Audit Manager specializing in Data Analytics.
Data Analytics will be the main responsibilities of this role. The role will require performing advanced data analytics in support of financial, compliance and other audits. Will assist with designing automated testing solutions for automated and continuous auditing.
Under general direction, independently perform more complex audits and IT audits with responsibility for planning, performance, documentation and elements of reporting. Position may provide functional advice or training to less experienced IT audit positions. Ensures that audits are conducted in accordance with professional and laid down standards. May supervise junior IT Internal Auditors. Manages audit relationships with line management in regard to audit performance and determination of remedial action. Ensures that audits are conducted in accordance with professional and laid down standards. Apply best practice standard like COBIT and ISO27001 to test IT system controls against and make relevant recommendations to management.
Audits and reviews would include, but are not limited to:
Perform data analytics;
Creating advanced data analytics to enable risk-based auditing.
Business process reviews supported by data analytics;
IT General Control (ITGC) testing;
Application control testing;
Data migration reviews;
Post-implementation reviews; and
Creating procedures/ dashboards for continuous monitoring for audit purposes.
Minimum requirements:
BCom (Honours) or
BSc Informatics or equivalent
CA (SA) / CIA (Advantage)
Experience in scripting of queries for SQL/ ACL/ MS Access or similar database applications.
Experience in Python.
Experience in working with PowerBI or other visualization tools to visually represent data.
