Isibaya’s Mabuyi: Perfect imperfections #villagegirl. Samukele Mkhize is an actress, entertainer, singer and all-around free spirit whose most notable role is that of Mabuyi in Mzansi Magic’s stellar drama, Isibaya.

She was born in Durban and grew up in a village called Maphophoma, in Stanger/Madundube, KwaZulu Natal. In her interview with Drum’s online mag, Samukele says she was raised by her grandparents who were both pastors and so both she and her brother were involved in church activities.
