Transport department gives clarity on international flights

The Department of Transport has released a statement providing clarity on the regulations relating to international flights that are coming into the country.

According to the statement, all airlines were issued with a notice in response to the resumption of air travel under level 1.

The notice states that both crew and passengers require a PCR certificate, not older than 72 hours, to gain entry into the country.

Aircrew not in possession of this certificate will still be allowed to land but will not be able to move around freely and will have to self-quarantine at their hotel.
