Mmusi Maimane of One South Africa Movement is introducing independent candidates to Cape Town voters.
The movement is backing the candidates.
Maimane says independent candidates are the answer to the failing political party system.
“Firstly people have previously had noticed they kept voting for the same party and things don’t change, there are high levels of corruption, I believe communities want their power back, they are desperate for change.”
