In Pics – Robert Mugabe Body Viewing

Former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe’s body lay in state at Rufaro Stadium for public viewing where thousands of Zimbabweans bade farewell to the liberation war. Mugabe passed away last Friday in Singapore at the age of 95.

During the first day of the public body viewing, several people paid homage to Mugabe for taking Zimbabwe from the colonial rule to an independent state and further empowering the millions of Zimbabweans.

Some said Mugabe’s legacy got tainted when he resorted to violence to thwart opposition party supporters especially during the land reform process and the 2008 elections.

It’s still a mystery where the former president will be buried because the President of Zimbabwe declared something but the Mugabe family have other plans.

In Other News – Tributes pour in following Thami Shobede’s death #RIPThamiShobede

Idols South Africa season 12 contestant and musician, Thami Shobede has died at the age of 31. According to Sowetan, the star died this morning at Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria.
