Outrage over dumping of illegal waste in Durban
There’s been outrage over a video showing a company dumping waste illegally alongside a busy road in Durban.
In the video that’s gone viral, a vehicle is seen parked on the side of the road off-loading unidentifiable waste into a stormwater drain.
The incident reportedly took place on the N2 Northbound after Edwin Swales.
Environmentalist Desmond D’sa is calling for the company to face the full might of the law.
“I think what’s critical here, is the company must be held responsible and should be brought to book,” he said.
“This is outrageous, we should all be outraged.”
The publication is currently trying to get hold of the company concerned and will provide an update as soon we get their response.
