More than two tons of illegally imported chloroquine – a malaria drug- have been seized in Benoni. This follows the eNCA exclusive last week, which revealed the drug had slipped through customs without approval. The anti-malaria drug is being touted as a treatment for COVID-19, but there’s no research to prove it. The consignment was flown in last week from India without authorisation.
