IEC working with Eskom to keep the lights on

There are growing calls fears that Eskom will be able to keep the lights on voting day. Chief Electoral Officer Sy Mamabolo says the IEC and Eskom are working together to ensure that blackouts don’t happen.

South Africans will head to the polls on 1 November. All efforts are being made to ensure that we do not experience load-shedding next week until the results are declared,” Mamabolo said.
