Idols SA season 14 winner, Yanga Sobetwa, made fans wait in anticipation after teasing a big announcement on social media. It was definitely worth the wait as the singer had made a major business move. She took to Instagram to share her excitement and to announce that she had established her own recording company, Yanga Sobetwa Music. The Promised Land hitmaker has not disclosed any details about her record label but she already has fans wanting to be signed.
Life after Idols is perceived to not be the most fruitful one, as many are said to lead silent careers. Winners receive amazing prizes including a car, money, clothing vouchers and a record deal. Last year there were allegations of Yanga not having being paid.
Thanks to the situation being sorted, she has been able to start her own label and be her own boss. A huge sacrifice she made saw her receiving a lot of flack from people as she decided to put her schooling on hold to focus on her music. Her passion is pretty evident. Congratulations to Yanga!
