Idols SA judge Somizi Congratulates Bonang Matheba on the Coolest Online Influencer #gennextawards2020

Somizi has congratulated Bonang on her winning the Coolest Online Influencer at the Sunday Times Gen Next Awards for 2020 which are an annual youth brand preference and consumer behaviour event which is a barometer of what South African youth find trendy and influential.

Somizi took to Twitter and wrote a sweet short message for Bonang’s victory.

Matheba who beat American reality star Kim Kardashian and also Somizi for the top spot was praised by the latter and he did not seem fazed that he was not number one as he wrote

Somizi and Bonang’s friendship has gone through a lot in recent years after reports emerged that Bonang had dumped Somizi after he had told DJ Zinhle about Bonang’s affair with AKA.

The two media personalities seemed to go through a very rough patch that Mhlongo even spoke out on an interview with MTV Base that he was over Bonang and she was nonexistent to him and this left fans shocked as the two seemed to have a tight friendship. Well, that seems to be a thing of the past as the two have patched up their differences and Somizi couldn’t be happier for his friend.
