I don’t need to unite with nobody – Emtee

Despite many celebrities including Reason and Cassper Nyovest who are all concerned about Mzansi rapper, Emtee and have tried to reach out to him, the rapper refuses to unite with anyone.

Late last year, Mzansi found out that rapper Mthembeni Ndevu who is better known as Emtee wasn’t pleased with his record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment and wanted a way out. Emtee’s outcry received much attention on social media but no changes were made on his part. Emtee made the same impression again earlier this year but this time claimed he was being held back by his boss.

According to City Press, it was reported that Emtee owed millions to his record label which was the reason he was tied down with his contract. “Ambitious owner Kgosi Mahumapelo doesn’t want me to leave, but it isn’t up to him and I made it clear that I want a new start. If I do things the right way, I believe that it will be resolved. I still wanna make music. I have been through the most and I am unbreakable. I a not angry or mad. I went through this,” said Emtee.

Other artists including Reason tried to extend a helping hand. Last month Reason tweeted that he and other rappers were willing and ready to help Emtee. “It warms my heart to find myself constantly in conversations with fellow musicians who want to get involved in helping @emteethehustla in one way or another. Saving Emtee’s career, is actually saving his children and family’s future. More so, we would be saving a real talent,” tweeted Reason.

Cassper Nyovest, who is Emtee’s rival also spoke about unity of SA hip hop. Even though he was unsure if Cassper was one of the rappers who were ready to help him, Emtee slammed the unity talk. But Emtee made it very clear a few days ago that he didn’t need to unite with anyone.
