I am too old and vulnerable for jail: Former Crime Intelligence boss Richard Mdluli

Too old and vulnerable for jail, at least, that’s what former Crime Intelligence boss, Richard Mdluli is claiming in the High Court in Johannesburg during his sentencing proceedings.

Mdluli was convicted of assault and kidnapping related to the 1998 disappearance of his alleged lover.

He is asking the court to impose a sentence of correctional and community service.

The DA in Gauteng has called on premier David Makhura to immediately suspend the province’s health head, Prof Mkululi Lukhele.
