Building hijackers arrested in Hillbrow

Three people have been arrested for hijacking a Hillbrow building.

Police found close to 400 undocumented foreign nationals in the 21-storey building.

The operation was part of the police’s Safer Festive Season Campaign.

The 353 men and 27 women are believed to be from Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Authorities also confiscated counterfeit goods to the value of R25-million.

The foreign nationals have been taken in for processing and verification.

Senzo Meyiwa was “mistakenly shot”, allegedly by one of the seven people present at the home of his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo, but witnesses claimed it was an imaginary robbery gone wrong in part of a cover-up which involved senior police officers, Sunday Independent can reveal.
