High Court grants DA application to review removal of Tshwane mayor

The High Court in Pretoria has ruled the resolutions of a Tshwane council, which removed mayor Stevens Mokgalapa and Speaker Katlego Mathebe are suspended, pending the outcome of a review.

The court granted the Democratic Alliance an application for a review of the removal of Tshwane Mayor Stevens Mokgalapa and speaker Katlego Mathebe.

A council meeting earlier this month passed motions of no confidence against them.
