Homes damaged by heavy rains in Oudtshoorn

The damage caused by two different storms that hit George in the Southern Cape two weeks ago, and Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo earlier this week, is still being felt by some residents.
Climatologists and meteorologists say the storms are the result of a cold-weather system called La Niña, which is forecast to last until the end of March.
Meanwhile, although the heavy rainfall caused widespread damage in the regions, it has also provided relief in the Klein Karoo after a persistent drought.
