Heavy rains spark flooding in Nelson Mandela Bay

Struggling with the effects of an ongoing drought, Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape received welcomed rainfall this past weekend.

But the downpour also sparked severe flooding that’s forced over 1,200 people to flee their homes.

Now the city is bracing for more rain later this week.
