The Eastern Cape province has been experiencing torrential rains this week, which has led to localized flooding in some parts.
Reports coming in suggest that the Chris Hani District Municipality has been hard hit by the heavy rainfall.
Homes, roads, and bridges have been severely damaged and the South African Human Rights Commission is calling help and relief for affected communities.
