KwaZulu-Natal: At 09H15 Monday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the M4 Southbound just past the Virginia Airport off-ramp in Durban North.
Reports indicate that a bakkie and car were involved in a head-on collision, resulting in the car rolling.
On scene were the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services, Durban Metropolitan Police Services, Durban North SAPS, Emer-G-Med, and Marshall Security.
Medics assessed the scene and found that the driver of the car, an adult male, also the only occupant on board, had sustained fatal injuries and was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
Rescue personnel used hydraulic tools to free the deceased from the car.
Two other occupants from the bakkie, both adult males, had sustained moderate injuries and were treated on the scene before being transported by ambulance to the hospital for further care.
